Counselling Consent — Healing Counselling Center

Counselling offers a supportive space to explore your concerns, emotions and goals. Before beginning, please read the following:

• Participation is voluntary. You may ask questions, decline an activity or discontinue counselling.

• Counselling may involve discussing difficult experiences and can sometimes bring up uncomfortable emotions. Outcomes vary, and specific results cannot be guaranteed.

• Information shared during counselling is confidential, subject to exceptions such as serious safety concerns, mandatory reporting of child sexual offences, or disclosure required by law.

• Relevant session records are maintained for professional care. Please review our Privacy Notice for information about how your personal information is handled.

• Fees, session duration and cancellation arrangements will be explained before booking.

• Online sessions require a private space and a suitable internet connection.

• Counselling appointments and website messages are not emergency services. In an emergency, seek immediate assistance from the nearest emergency department.

• For clients under 18, a separate parent/legal guardian consent process and age-appropriate child assent will be used, with confidentiality boundaries explained.
